All Quiet On The Film Front

Unfortunately nothing has been moving along that much right now except Rodney Wilson owner of Scribbles gave the definitive go ahead for filming inside of Scribbles after hours for Psychology of a Coffee Shop. So soon we will hopefully be going in some day after hours and filming some blocking and familiarizing ourselves with the place for the actual shoot.

If you have never been to Scribbles Coffee Co. in Downtown Kent across form the Brewhouse I highly recommend checking it out sometime. They serve delicious Fair Trade coffee and sell awesome clothing from SupaStarr Clothin.

Love Song To Scribz Coffee Co. "NEWLY UPDATED!" from Dylan Baldridge on Vimeo.

Well it's been a year...

I am really bad with updating and blogging in general but I am gonna try n start this up again. In the time I've missed I've purchased an XL2 and that is extremely exciting. I have shot a few things with it and also discovered a really nice video hosting site that now allows me to host videos at a more respectable quality.

CHECK IT GUYS!

I have also purchased a nice kit of sound equipment which includes...

Short Shotgun Mic
Shock Mount
Boom Pole
20' Cable
Really Short Cable
& Rycote Softie

It's turned out to be pretty sweet especially paired with the new camera and the short Suck It Up Bitch On Vimeo gives a good example of its quality.

Besides those purchases and the tests with said equipment not much else has been happening. Since I last posted Still Remains was shot and is now stuck in a really long drawn out Post-Production process because of maaannny things that need to be fixed from production.

At the moment two productions are in the process... one Psychology of a Coffee Shop a short script written by my friend and fellow filmmaker Randy Shaffer of "Bob Hotchkins Rent-A-Cop" fame.

The other is a series of shorts that will start appearing on a regular bases on Vimeo soon hopefully that is just a test of dream like storytelling and surreal filmmaking called "Ten Thousand Sheep" the name is kinda pending but thats the best I've come up with yet.

Updates soon hopefully. Thanks for reading!

Website up.

Well you can now go to www.happyclapperstudios.com and it will just reroute you back to here...but soon I will have some sweet stuff up. Give us some hits guys. Thanks!

Well we have now purchased the hosting services. Happyclapperstudios.com is officially set aside for me to make some sweet design styles on. Right now I am in web design class so better go so I know what to do.

Website

Well today I called the Web Hosting service we might be using. It has some really nice features that will be perfect for Videos...and Music...so that's exciting...more things will progress soon I hope...will say more later.

SECOND MEETING

ALeph Productions and I (dYLAN) had yet another meeting for the upcoming project Still Remains...things are coming along quickly...in less then two weeks we will begin shooting...I'm super pumped about the use of the XL2 and all the things about this production that have been movieng along sooooo well. Not much has happened with Set Fire lately besides writing but the excitment of Still Remains is enough for me right now anyvay.

PS if you got yourself the awesome program celtx...then if you noticed they have a new version downloadable...so I highly recommend getting it.

Make Up Effects

Well for Still Remains Todd n I have been working on learning some more elaborate special fx makeup which is fun for me since that's what I originally wanted to do and I still have a lot of supplies around that I never got to use all that much...so besides that not much happenin except editing little pieces of fake fight him and I shot last night.

All Pretty Quiet On The Western Front

Nothing much happening lately besides writing and some fun editing pieces to keep playing with different editing techniques. More progress on getting lights ready for the Still Remains shoot needs to be done but with the weather conditions and snow it's been difficult. Tomorrow more progress on the website hopefully will happen due to the class so...maybe someday soon people will be able to at least go see the site under construction.

Meeting with Aleph and Links

Well the meeting went realllly well and things are getting exciting. Right now I'm working on some graphics for the Happy Clapper Studios site so hopefully soon that will be up. You might have noticed I created a list of links there to the right make sure to check em out especially Aleph and Disarm Skateboards.

Meeting with Aleph

My friend's "sister" company I guess I could call it and I are having a meeting tomorry for a short we are all shooting in the coming month called Still Remains. This is a very exciting time because things are moving well and being planned more in depth then ever.
