Well we have now purchased the hosting services. Happyclapperstudios.com is officially set aside for me to make some sweet design styles on. Right now I am in web design class so better go so I know what to do.

Website

Well today I called the Web Hosting service we might be using. It has some really nice features that will be perfect for Videos...and Music...so that's exciting...more things will progress soon I hope...will say more later.

SECOND MEETING

ALeph Productions and I (dYLAN) had yet another meeting for the upcoming project Still Remains...things are coming along quickly...in less then two weeks we will begin shooting...I'm super pumped about the use of the XL2 and all the things about this production that have been movieng along sooooo well. Not much has happened with Set Fire lately besides writing but the excitment of Still Remains is enough for me right now anyvay.

PS if you got yourself the awesome program celtx...then if you noticed they have a new version downloadable...so I highly recommend getting it.

Make Up Effects

Well for Still Remains Todd n I have been working on learning some more elaborate special fx makeup which is fun for me since that's what I originally wanted to do and I still have a lot of supplies around that I never got to use all that much...so besides that not much happenin except editing little pieces of fake fight him and I shot last night.

All Pretty Quiet On The Western Front

Nothing much happening lately besides writing and some fun editing pieces to keep playing with different editing techniques. More progress on getting lights ready for the Still Remains shoot needs to be done but with the weather conditions and snow it's been difficult. Tomorrow more progress on the website hopefully will happen due to the class so...maybe someday soon people will be able to at least go see the site under construction.

Meeting with Aleph and Links

Well the meeting went realllly well and things are getting exciting. Right now I'm working on some graphics for the Happy Clapper Studios site so hopefully soon that will be up. You might have noticed I created a list of links there to the right make sure to check em out especially Aleph and Disarm Skateboards.

My friend's "sister" company I guess I could call it and I are having a meeting tomorry for a short we are all shooting in the coming month called Still Remains. This is a very exciting time because things are moving well and being planned more in depth then ever.

Just finished a bit of ADR

Todd and I have been for the last couple months working on editing a short rough film we shot in Todd's work place after hours. Now that the movie is at least in the first finalish draft of the edit we have been recording ADR due to the fact that we have no decent recording equiptment...it's been fun and given us something to do with film while we work on other scripts and preproduction planning...and right now we are done and I am now officially bored...uhg

Celtx the new age of script writing

So recently I was introduced to a program by my friend Chris Leppla which is a script formating program that has a good amount of other interesting and helpful features also...very much like Final Draft but without the $200 price tag. Celtx is actually freeware. Perfect for an independent filmmaker with no budget for practacly anything. If you are interested in script formating for your own purposes and can't afford Final Draft I highly recomend you jump on over to http://www.celtx.com and check it out. Not only is it free but it works for Apples or those other machines...ehh..if your unlucky enough to own one..lol so hopefully this turns out to be a helpful resource to some filmmakers or writers somewhere.

Also when you download it there is a way you can upload your projects I uploaded mine so they are only ahred with certain people but if you write some stuff and want me to read it or want to read mine just tell me and I'll add you to my shared list.

Didn't like Xanga no more...soo..

Well I really want to start regularly blogging about company happenings and since my Xanga account is pretty much dead right now I thought hmm maybe I'll try that Blogspot place. SO from here on out I'm gonna try and use this as a way to keep people updated about Happy Clapper Studios...that is probably only until I get a real website so..this might also be short lived...oh well...more to come in the near future.
